Our Kitchen first opened its doors in 1941, and for the past 82 years has been serving the East Harriet and South Uptown community.

Whether you are a regular or a first time customer, you are family here. We look forward to treating you to our world famous hashbrowns and scratch-made pancakes.

FAQ

How much time do I need to visit?

Our building remains unchanged from its original form, and we still prepare your food with one cook and one small grill. For our first time guests, this means that our food timing may be longer than you are used to — especially when compared to modern restaurants, and especially when we are busy. We greatly appreciate your patience and look forward to taking care of you. Trust our 81 years of experience - the wait is worth it!

Do you take reservations?

We welcome our guests on a first-come, first-served basis. We do not take reservations.

How long is your wait?

Unfortunately, we are unable to confirm wait time over the phone as it is constantly changing.

  1. On weekends, we are typically busier and often have longer wait times.
  2. We are unable to seat partial parties.

Do you offer takeout?

Takeout is available, as capacity allows. Please give us a call and we will happily let you know whether we are able to offer the option of takeout.

Do you allow dogs?

We love to welcome dogs on our pawtio (weather permitting). We will happily treat your dog to our complimentary dog mats, water bowls, and treats.

Is there parking?

On weekends only, parking is available in the lot adjacent to Our Kitchen.
